The Region 6 ASSP Conference in Myrtle Beach was a success!

Triangle Safety Consulting LLC was proud to sponsor and speak at this year’s Region 6 American Society of Safety Professionals (ASSP) Professional Development Conference in Myrtle Beach, SC.

In addition to supporting the event itself, we donated $500 to help students cover travel and admission costs, making it possible for the next generation of safety professionals to attend. Though we don’t have photos of the students’ posters and projects, we’re honored to encourage and support their growth in occupational safety.

Our team also contributed by hosting a booth, sponsoring snacks, and leading two speaking sessions. One session was planned, and another was volunteered when another presenter couldn’t make it. The sessions were lively, and we’re grateful to everyone who joined.

At the conference, Brandy Zadoorian, CEO and Principal Consultant of TSC, presented A to Z: 26 Best Practices for the Safety Professional in Manufacturing. This talk was delivered at the National ASSP Conference in Denver, CO, at Safety 2024, at the General Motors Safety Conference in April 2025, and most recently at the Region 6 Conference in South Carolina.

The session helped participants elevate safety performance, strengthen leadership, boost employee participation, and improve OSHA compliance.

Attendees left equipped to:
✅ Improve their health and safety programs with practical and cost-effective tasks
✅ Strengthen leadership and technical skills
✅ Identify opportunities to mentor, network, and benchmark
✅ Elevate OSHA compliance and emergency preparedness

These are real-life, actionable strategies that participants can implement immediately to grow as professionals and strengthen their facility’s OSHA compliance and safety culture.

Triangle Safety Consulting LLC at Get Ready Greenville!

Our team had a fantastic time at Get Ready Greenville, a free public event focused on emergency preparedness.

We were proud to sponsor the event, and it was a joy to serve up free BBQ to everyone who came by!

A huge thank you to Michael Jankowski from the Greenville County Local Emergency Planning Committee for the invite. We love supporting our community.

And a little side story: Brandy's son was so excited to see the excavator that he ran a little too fast and ended up scraping both his knees! Thankfully, we were right by the ambulance and got him cleaned up quickly.

Thanks to everyone who stopped by. It was great to see so many smiling faces!

Pop Quiz Answer

Answer: No. OSHA's 1910.137 Table I-5 states that rubber insulating gloves must be electrically tested every six months. The date stamped on these gloves shows they were last tested in January 2025. Since more than six months have passed (it is now September 2025), the gloves must be retested before use.

OSHA’s new Lithium-ion Battery Safety Fact Sheet (OSHA 4480)

Lithium-ion batteries power everything from laptops to energy storage systems, but they also carry risks like fire, toxic exposure, and thermal runaway. OSHA’s new Lithium-ion Battery Safety Fact Sheet (OSHA 4480) highlights key hazards and controls for industries that manufacture, recycle, or store these batteries.

⚡ Highlights include chemical hazards (flammable solvents and HF formation), thermal runaway risks, essential hazard controls like process isolation and gas monitoring, and the importance of a Safety & Health Management System with worker training.

At Triangle Safety Consulting LLC, we help facilities put these safeguards into practice, through audits, training, and safety program development, so teams stay protected while staying productive. Have you had a chance to review the fact sheet yet?

    b. heaviest
    c. poorest
    d. richest
  2. Which of the following describes a Fault Tree Analysis?
    a. A logic diagram that shows all the potential causes of an incident or other undesired event. Reasoning backward from the undesired event, the circumstances that can lead to the problem are determined. The circumstances are then broken down into the events that can lead to them.
    b. An integrated body of concepts and procedures for investigating and analyzing a wide range of desired and undesired processes before or after they happened. This method uses a timeline chart to display the sequence of events that contributed to or was the direct cause of the incident. Every event is a single action by a single actor.
    c. This analysis determines where failures occurred. All items used in the task involved in the incident must be considered. These items include people, equipment, materials, and more. This chart lists the manner or a mode in which each item can fail and determines the effects of each failure.
    d. This analysis is part of many existing incident prevention programs. It breaks the job into basic steps and identifies the hazards and controls associated with each step.
