Why β€œTriangle” Safety Consulting LLC?

On March 25, 1911, the Triangle Shirtwaist Factory fire claimed 146 lives due to catastrophic safety failures: locked exit doors, collapsed fire escapes, and inadequate "life-saving" equipment. This preventable tragedy became the catalyst for modern workplace safety laws.

I named my company Triangle Safety Consulting LLC to honor those who were killed in the factory fire and ensure history never repeats itself. Our mission is to help companies identify hazards and implement solutions that protect your most valuable asset - your people.

The factory floor after the fire. Long work tables and back-to-back chairs became deadly obstacles to workers trying to escape when the fire broke out.

OSHA updated its NEP on Heat-Related Hazards

OSHA has updated its National Emphasis Program (NEP) on Outdoor and Indoor Heat-Related Hazards, strengthening its focus on preventing heat illness in the workplace.

Using data from 2022 to 2025, OSHA is prioritizing inspections and outreach in 55 high-risk industries where heat-related incidents are most prevalent.

The update enhances enforcement by directing compliance officers to conduct targeted and random inspections during heat advisories, while also expanding outreach and compliance assistance efforts.

Heat illness remains a preventable but serious hazard. This update reinforces the expectation that employers must proactively implement effective controls to protect workers from Heat Stress.

Here are some Heat Stress Resources you can print and communicate today!

DID YOU KNOW?

Did you know that there are Type II hard hats that protect workers ALL around the head, not just the top of the head like a Type I hard hat?

OSHA published a Safety and Health Information Bulletin on Head Protection and why they choose to wear Type II hard hats on the job

.
PS: Embrace Type II hard hats! They will stay on the heads of workers if they fall due to the head straps! Hard Hats that stay on = better head protection!

It's Time to Obtain Your ASP or CSP Credential

Earning your Certified Safety Professional (CSP) (or Associate Safety Professional - ASP) credential is a total game-changer for your professional authority and your paycheck.

Beyond the prestige, the CSP offers three major advantages:

  • Instant Credibility: Adding 'CSP' to your signature provides an instant trust signal to clients or leadership
  • Career Momentum: From higher salary compensation to winning competitive promotions, this credential ensures you are taken seriously by leadership.
  • Personal Achievement: Passing this rigorous exam is the ultimate way to crush "imposter syndrome" and validate your hard-earned expertise.

While the exam is notoriously difficult, you don’t have to tackle it alone. I JUST RELEASED the 3rd Edition 2026 version of the CSP Practice Questions, Answers, and Explanations Workbook, now with 100 questions to help you master the material and walk into the testing center with total confidence.
